Leonards, Waikiki

There are five kind malasadas they serve: regular (sugar), cinnamon sugar, dobash (semi-sweet chocolate cream), haupia (coconut cream), and custard. Best when eaten very fresh and hot, deadly horrible cold (unless you like eating crisco out of the can). You can warm them in a microwave, but this is not as good. These are not good for you, stay away, don’t even think about. If you have to ask about nutritional information, you in the wrong place. Allow three or four per person, and be thankful for all the advances in cardiology.
Oh, and look for the Malasadamobiles – there’s usually one at Windward Mall in Kaneohe, just a couple miles from the cemetary. Coincidence? I think not!
