I got a burger, fries and a frappe. The burgers are not very wide, but very thick. The fries were great, but the frappes are the best part if you ask me.

Herndon is a nice little town worth checking out in the summer during the Herndon Festival which is a free event that goes on for a few days. I was able to see Big Bad Voodoo Daddy this year.

An interesting building on its own, the Hirshhorn has plenty of oddities inside as well. Worth even just a quick visit.

This new memorial on the National Mall is well worth checking out. It’s a classy addition to the Mall and is a breathtaking site to see.

We were looking for something new to try in Cambridge for lunch today and stumbled into this little place on Huron called Ortanique, a Jamaican establishment that serves some excellent jerk chicken and rice as well as homemade ginger beer. It doesn’t look like much but it’s reasonably priced and the food was great.

You’ve probably heard of the movie of the same name, but this pizza is by far some of the best I’ve ever had and well worth the trip. After touring around Mystic a bit, it’s a great spot to stop and have a bite to eat.

Unfortunately, the movie isn’t nearly as good as the pizza.

There’s so much to see at the MET, don’t plan on seeing it all in one trip.

I went to see the Van Gogh Drawings exhibit this past weekend, which was quite a bit larger than I thought it would be. I had no idea Van Gogh had so many drawings laying around.

Newbury Street is in the arts district and reminds me of a NYC shopping area, but a little more condensed and less threatening. You’ve got all the shopping you could possibly want, some great restaurants, and plenty of activity.

Harvard Square seems to always be full of people and things to do. The T will take you right to the heart of it all. The last 2 times I was there, a student film was being shot and a festival had closed down many of the streets for patrons.

I’m a big fan of Cambridge. It’s actually a very large amount of space broken up into many areas and “squares,” my favorite being Harvard Square. Plus, I’ll be moving there in just a few weeks.
