The burger was ok. The fries were good, though. I didn’t have a milkshake, but my friend did and said it was excellent. The service was a bit messed up. They give out numbers and then call your number when your order is ready. However, the numbers don’t really go in chronological order and basically don’t make much sense.

One of the cooks said I looked like Danny Bonaduce from the Partridge Family.

Anyway, for a meal at 2 am, it’s not a bad choice.

They played good music, but they would change songs about every 25 seconds, literally. Dancing became a bit frustrating as a result. But the music was good, while each song lasted.

If you get vegetables with your meal, you might want to specifiy which vegetables. I didn’t and ended up with probably 4 portions of vegetables.

I went with Benji. I had a nice mussel risotto followed by tempura fillets of ling with fries (a posh fish and chips as Benji said) with mushy peas. I like mushy peas. It was all quite nice.

I can’t even begin to imagine the amount of time I’ve spent on this lake (summer and winter).

This place was my life for 20 years, more or less.

I spend the better part of 4 years here. Some great years, by the way!

Minnesota vs Michigan

The room was crap. The walls were dirty and in need of a good coat of paint. Not at all impressed by the service for such a famous hotel.
