How this place changed my life

Pastry House Hippo Bakery is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me. Temporarily living 1,000 miles away from Chicago makes it very difficult to deal with the withdrawals.

Try the cream pan, you won’t regret it.

Untitled

one of my favorite venues in chicago, most of the staff are pretty friendly and ticket prices are never too ridiculous. it’s worth experiencing over and over and over.

Barcelona

Worth visiting!

wonderful city

in 8th grade my spanish class took a trip to spain, and we went all over but barcelona will always be my favorite. so much happened while we were there. my only beef with the trip was that our teacher did most of the talking for us and i hardly had a chance to use what i knew. i will definitely go back at some point though.

London

Worth visiting!

spent two days here

i have to say it’s just like any other big city, but the people all look fantastic no matter what the weather’s like. i preferred my stay in Oxford better, but would like to see more of london again when i have the time.

favorite thing while i was there: Saatchi art museum. they had a show of Salvador Dali’s other work like prints, sketches, sculptures, etc. it was nice to see something other than his paintings. and a very beautiful museum as well.

clueless

when i was younger we used to visit family in cleveland for christmas. so i really dont know if it’s worth visiting or not because other than going to christmas mass once (i wanted to know what church was like, i fell asleep), i hardly stepped foot outside my aunt and uncle’s house.

Tucson

Worth visiting!

been here once

i was visiting my grandparents who i really dont like but was too young to know better at the time. i dont remember much, probably because i’ve subconciously blocked it from memory. i do remember going to a rodeo though, as uncool as that is.

i’d really like to give it another chance though considering i didnt get to go out and do very many things while there.

Detroit

Not worth visiting!

required

my 95 year old grandfather lives in detroit so i kind of have to go all the time. not that i mind visiting him of course, i just wish he lived in a more interesting town because honestly there isnt anything too special about detroit. at least i’ve never found it.

Minnesota

roughing it

my first real camping trip was in northern minnesota. though i dont recall all that much, the clearest memory in my mind was the stars at night and how they blanketed the sky. i remember gazing up in complete and total awe because it was the exact opposite of the sky back home in chicago. i will always think fondly of that trip for this reason alone.

Walt Disney World

Worth visiting!

it's a small world after all

my family and i drove there (from chicago mind you) when i was about 7 i think, maybe younger. i have an older brother, so you can imagine how much fun that was. however i did enjoy the “it’s a small world” ride and shamelessly made my dad go on it with me one too many times. unfortunately for me i was too afraid to go on much else so my memories of disney world are fragmented and few, though that doesnt mean i dont want to go back at another point in my life. it’s a novelty at best, but still entertaining nonetheless.
