If you’re going to visit Hawaii, Make sure, the first time, to see Oahu. Visit a sugar plant/museum, see ‘Iolani Palace and Waikiki beach in Honolulu, basically check out all the tourist-y things everyone else sees when they go to Hawai’i. But make sure you have time for Maui. Because most of what you see in Honolulu, you’re glad to have seen. But you don’t necessarily have a longing to see them again. Trust me; Maui will be what you want to go back to again and again every time you go back. It’s what people who haven’t been to Hawai’i think of when they think of Hawai’i. Quiet, calm lifestyle, little shops, surfing communities, quaint homes with simple gardens, long, broad, uncrowded beaches and warm, clear water. It’s what people who only visited Oahu wish Hawai’i had been.
