Las Vegas, Nevada
if i was older..
Las Vegas was nice. We stayed at the Venetian. BUT it would’ve been helluva lot better if I was 18 or 21 so I could either gamble, go to strip clubs, 18+ shows or drink, haha.

over 5 years agoIt’s the country my parents are originally from. Seeing the family I never saw before made me so happy during my stay there. I meet every single one of my cousins. All of them were surprised about how ‘pale’ I was and how I didn’t look that Cambodian, haha. (Most Khmer people are really dark) During the Khmer Rouge, my dad had been separated so he was the only person in his whole family (including cousins) that actually made it to America. My heart sank when I saw my dad’s face light up at the sight of seeing his own father and his 10 siblings again.. my dad’s the type to never cry and never be emotional about anything but on our last day in Cambodia, my dad just cried and cried as he hugged my grandfather goodbye.. that was the last time he saw him. My grandfather died a few months later.
I also visited the school that my grandparents (from my mom’s side) built. It was amazing what my grandparents did and when I get old enough, I wanna give back just like them.
over 5 years agoThe last time I visited was about two weeks ago when it was an abnormally warm one weekend. My two friends and I parked our car at the Alewife and took the T into Boston.. Riding the T is one of my favorites things to do.. it relaxes me and I really think it’s beautiful (especially in pictures). When I’m in the city, I always have to go to Chinatown and Downtown Crossing. Easy to walk to each and plus shopping and eating are my specialities. Prudential and Copley are also good too as long as I have money. Boston is still on my list because I love going there no matter what.. it’s that hometown love, yah know? Can’t wait to go to college there!
