Ice Hotel, Jukkasjärvi

Untitled by sonyaw13

Very important that you’re smart and prepare ahead of time for the proper clothing so that you enjoy your trip and experience.

Silk layers against your skin, followed by fleece, followed by goose down outer shell.

Being in Snice (snow/ice mixture) and sleeping the night is something everyone should experience once in their life.

Gives you a whole new appreciation for Eskimos and people who live near the poles.

Yosemite National Park, Central California

National Parks by sonyaw13

While I’ve not been to every national park yet… This one continues to be my favorite. Just something about the valley, the forest, and the geology that lowers my jaw everytime.

Lake Tahoe, Northern California

Untitled by sonyaw13

Like my second home. Lake Tahoe is an amazing place to spend time whether summer or winter. No matter the conditions there is an plethora of outdoor activities and the lake seems to be the focal point no matter where you are, holding everything together in a tranquil way. I hope to one day retire up here.

Tavern On The Green, Central Park

Untitled by sonyaw13

While its famous and surely loved by ghostbuster fans.. The food is nothing to write home about nor the service. I say visit, walk around in side and then go eat at one of New Yorks wonderful restaurants. This is more a tourist attractions than anything else.

Central Park, Manhattan

Untitled by sonyaw13

While many people can say they’ve been to central park most have not seen all of it. You got to be a local or taking a trip specifically to NY to visit CP if that’s the case. I wish I would spend more time there when I do visit but its just so big and well… There you have it.

World Trade Center Complex, Financial District

While I've been here.. by sonyaw13

unfortunetly my visit to the World Trade Center was too late. The towers had already fallen and while I’ve been to NY many times since I never did get to see them in all their glory. Such a shame. The park they are putting in will be nice I’m sure but not as powerful as those goliaths when standing.

Ice Hotel, Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier

Ice Hotel by sonyaw13

Got married here and loved every minute of it! Great special on the Discovery channel about the ice hotel in sweden I recommend visiting either one for the experience but if you want an action packed vacation. Go to Ice Hotel Quebec when the Quebec Winter Festival is going on in February and spend a few minutes in Quebec City the Ice sculptures and events are out of this world!

Shutters Hotel On The Beach, Santa Monica

Lucky Girl by sonyaw13

I’m lucky enough to get to stay here on a regular basis for work! I love shutters and consider it a second home but I tell you what. If you want a little more excitement and the same beautiful style rooms go next door to Casa Del Mar which is there sister hotel. Now that is my dream home!

Haleakala National Park, Maui

Wonder of the world! by sonyaw13

Spend as much time exploring here as you can. Its deceiving in that you think its a big desolate place. There are wonderful trails that take you down the hill experiencing the different levels of terrain. Take the opportunity to see the stars at night through a telescope. Visit the local lavender farm on the way up the hill in kula. Eat lunch at the Kula lodge. If I go back to Maui I’ll be staying up here and at the 7 pools as much as possible!

V. Sattui, Napa

Why of all places?! by sonyaw13

With all the wonderful world renoun wineries right there on the main strip why is it everyone seems to like V. Sattui. Well I’ll tell you why! Most people don’t know much about wine and therefore are looking for winery that has a drinkable selection with free tasting, good outdoor area to sit and enough the setting, and a great deli and shopping experience. If you want to taste really good california wine go to the real wineries that don’t have a gift shop or deli! The ones who are completely focused on wine making. I promise you can taste the difference even if you don’t know much about wine.
