I have a friend who has moved there to teach english, so I think I will go visit him.

I’m not sure if it lived completely up to the hype but I have to go back. So many more foods to try.

Sometimes little hole-in-the-wall places are the best.

So much beach glass to collect and so many tidal pools to explore. There are caves there too, at low tide.

One of my friends got the brilliant idea that we should turn off our propane lantern to see how dark it would get, and it got very, very dark. So dark that we couldn’t find the matches to relight the damn thing and we had to wait for someone else to come along and help us.

The moral? Bring an extra flashlight.

Surfing is fun to try, even if you’re terrible at it like me. How could you not have fun in such a beautiful place?

I could have spent years there.

If you ask the man who cleans in the baptistry very nicely, he will sing a few notes. The echoes in that building are unbelievable. I’ve never heard anything like it.
