Bethesda

Not worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

If you go to Bethesda, make sure you’ve gone to the ATM first. There isn’t much good cheap fun, but there are a lot of great restaurants.
I spent half of my paycheck on a dinner in Bethesda once. Even though I only work part time as a grocery store cashier, that’s a lot of money.
If you like the finer things in life, Bethesda is for you. If you enjoy slightly trashier, cheaper areas (like myself) search farther east in Silver Spring and Wheaton.

Not worth visiting!

How this place changed my life

I lived here for 10 years. I like it better than where I live now, but it’s not somewhere to visit for sight seeing or anything. Maybe if you live in Montgomery County it’s fun, but don’t bother coming from California unless you have family there.

Not worth visiting!

A review of this place: God this place is boring.

Where all did these people giving good reviews stay? I was cooped up in a humid muggy beach house with nothing to do but sit inside (it rains most of the time I’m there.) I go once a year with my family and the only thing I’ve found to do is go to Wings.
It’s good fishing, if that’s your style.

I just don’t like skiing or camping. Canaan Valley is great for that, but it’s just not my style.

Washington, D.C.

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

If you are not from Los Angeles, New York, or Boston, DO NOT DRIVE IN D.C. Do not drive anywhere in the surrounding area either. Unless you are from the cities mentioned previously, you will probably never have driven in or even seen traffic like this in your life.
People will not take pity on you because of your out of state tags. In fact, they will probably try to run you off the road. All of us D.C.ians are always in a hurry, and if you are going under 85 mph and are less than three feet from the car in front of you, you are impeding our forward progress. And if it is rush hour when all cars on the road are stopped, we will act like the car in front of us is the direct cause of the traffic. If it is you, prepare to be honked at.
In D.C., take the metro, or a cab. You will thank me later.
Visit D.C. for its history, its architecture, and its art, but avoid 395 with your life.
