New York City

Worth visiting!

Such a good place

I lived in NYC as a child, and was too young to truly appreciate it. STILL a city girl at heart. I would move back if I ever had the money and a job transfer. My only advice is not to visit during New Years without being prepared for too many people, not enough room, and showing up EARLY! And spending money.

=)

University District

Worth visiting!

It's STILL a great place

You don’t need a car if you live, work, and go to school in the University District. I lived here for four years, and did use my car for work but that was just about it. I always enjoyed being able to walk everywhere!

Seattle

Worth visiting!

Love it!

I lived in the Seattle area for almost four years. I loved it. Definitely an upgrade in location from having lived in Federal Way for eight years. So much to do, so much to see. If you ever visit, rely on public transport. Get maps, ask for directions, research on map websites. Traffic is not worth the rental car when there are so many other ways to get around, and you don’t have to worry about a place to park!

Federal Way

Not worth visiting!

Ehh

I lived here for eight years. It’s not that exciting of a place.
There are much better places in the Washington area! It is somewhat cheaper to live than in the city, but there is a reason for that! Crime varies, but I hear it has increased. The mall in Federal Way, used to be Seatac and is now The Commons, SUCKS. Sorry to say, but it just does. Nordstrom should not have ever left there…

Washington State

Worth visiting!

It's a great place overall!

Washington State is very green, with PLENTY to see and to do.
You will have a good time here! Take my advice and if you’re a visitor, and not used to traffic, take the bus. Walk. Take a shuttle. Research where you want to go, print out the directions, bring the address AND the phone number. Charge your cell phone fully before you leave. This goes for any place but streets change frequently and there is also construction areas that redirect traffic in certain cities.

Puyallup

Worth visiting!

Hey, its another city with plenty of retail

I live here. Not by choice but to be closer to my husband’s job. I didn’t think I’d ever like it, particularly after living in and loving Seattle, being able to walk everywhere. It was an adjustment but I am more used to it now! Plenty of retail. Some pretty places in Puyallup.
