check out mum, slowblow, worm is green, ampop, the album leaf, blindfold… there are so many great icelandic groups out there whose sound reflects the special qualities of the landscape.

when all the leaves burst into their multicolored glory; with a plethora of parks, historic small towns and romantic covered bridges, it’s the most picturesque state in the country.

and i can still remember the crisp canadian air.

rotterdam is europe’s architectural playground. everywhere i turn, there is a sense of whimsy and visual delight, a true blend of old and new.

the people are so open and friendly!

no other city wears it heart on its sleeve quite like berlin.

house parties with electro labelheads, grooving to multiplex, akufen and sutekh…

tricks at tresor, running through the tiergarten at night to vintage aphex twin

yes, berlin has much to offer…

so yeah! it’s worth visiting, if only to see my dearest friend alexa :-)

a la mere de la famille—for the cutest marzipan creations, and the most heavenly confitures
katabar in montmartre—the most punked/goth dive bar found in all of france
rex—for electro beats
louvre—to OD on history, culture, anthropology and all things art
st denis—for the birthplace of gothic architecture (la chapelle) and ronan & erwan bouroullec’s uberchic design office

ah, illadelphia. a beautiful town with beautiful souls.

it’s growing up and trying hard to be something bigger and badder than it is now, but i kinda like its hardcore character… go before it loses that edge!

if you can withstand the cold, the light shifts dramatically between seasons to create different moods. the dinners here are among the best i’ve ever had: long, unhurried evenings held over the the cozy warmth of candlelight and friendly company.

the unwavering dedication to the highest quality, materials and craft make the architecture and design scene here one of the most advanced in the world. be sure to check out the danish design center and the louisiana museum of art (my favorite museum in denmark)!
