venice is one of the most magical places in the world. i would go back in a heartbeat just to watch the sunset over venice from a bench on the shore of lido.

some people love the desert but i don’t. its big and flat, hot and dry. if that’s your thing, go for it.

if you’ve never seen this amazing city, you should book a flight today. unless, its february—then maybe wait a few months. the winters are pretty brutal.

otherwise, chicago is filled with the most wonderful architecture, food, art, people and anything else you can think of.

gelato, espresso, venice, the pope, fabulously beautiful people and scooters as far as the eye can see—what’s not to love?!

i have been living her for a few years and its probably not a real hot bed for tourism. there are no great natural or man-made wonders to be seen. however, the people are very nice, the weather is decent (if you overlook all the tornado hullabaloo) and there are lots of nice places to eat, shop, and browse.

to put it another way, its a nice place to live but i’m not sure i’d want to visit here.
