This place is bigger than life.

My mom got a rubbing of the name of a high schol friend who was killed a week before he was going to return home. She’s always mentioned him every time the Vietnam “War” has come up in conversation.

There are lots of different exhibits. So planes of WWII are in one place while experimental flight in another. If you have limited time, then go to one of those first.

Also, the ground floor seemed more crowded than the second floor.

The dinosaurs are awesome! Also, the bones exhibit.

The statues of the soldiers made me feel very somber. The images in the wall nearly brought tears to my eyes.

When I was in Paris, we found out the hard way it was closed on Tuesdays. We were just in the city for the day. Oh well, it let us go see everything else.

A small university in the center of Valdosta, GA. Like fountains? Like domes? Like palm trees.

A really gorgeous and serene place.

Make sure you take your sunglasses. The sand really is white. Just like sunlight reflecting off snow blinds people, so will this sand.

Beautiful immense dunes of sand which walk across the desert. Climbing and running down a dune was so much fun. Imagining how much gypsum had to be eroded from the mountain walls to form these dunes was mind boggling.

Gorgeous!!
