We stayed right opposite the Cathedral, at the hotel Dom, which meant we were easily able to walk to all the major sites. The promenade along the river is quite picturesque and we ate some tasty German-fare with good beer along the riverside.

Kew Gardens will always be special to me, as we had our wedding reception here. Although it rained when we left church, the weather cleared up in the evening and people were able to enjoy the gardens. It was the perfect end to a week long of festivities.
over 5 years agoAfter doing the usual touristy stuff all day, visiting the duomo, the tower and other museums, we had a relaxed dinner. But my fondest memory of Pisa is the time we spent just sitting on the steps of the duomo, opposite the leaning tower, listening to the lone guitarist, just strumming away and singing Italian love-songs, a perfect end to our sojourn in Italy.
