This museum was amazing. The ship itself is astonishingly complete for having been underwater for so long, and the rest of the museum adds a lot to the boat itself, in terms of detail and context.
It is a great building too.

Agree with other comments that it is difficult to get good photos inside

The Montecasino is a strange place, inside it is styled like a Tuscan town but is full of restaurants, shops and entertainment including a huge casino.

A bit touristy, but plenty to keep you busy and food for every budget. We enjoyed Sevruga which said it was a caviar restaurant, but really was not expensive for the quality.

The aquarium was also good especially for penguin feeding time.

Boats for all the tours including Robben Island seem to go from here too

Don’t go to the bit where you have to pay to see the penguins, just 100 yards up the road there is a car park and just next to this there were plenty of penguins just sitting around. Maybe not dozens together as you see further up, but a few – and free!

Don’t miss the freshly caught fish – delicious! Plus all the little colourful luzzu boats with their staring eyes.

You have to book in advance as it is always booked solid for at least a couple of weeks ahead, due to the limited number of people they allow in per day.

Well worth it though – a fascinating place, unlike anything I’ve ever seen.

I think it is free to get in on a Wednesday. It doesn’t cost much the rest of the time though!

I went to University in Dundee and so it will always have a special place in my heart. Apart from that it is different to anywhere else I have found, with everything you need without being too big.

So it has it’s less nice areas – doesn’t everywhere! The nice bits outweigh them anyhow

Just back from a fantastic break in Bs As. Had a really relaxing holiday whilst at the same time seeing the sites and enjoying everything the place had to offer. It helps that things are cheap compared to home too!
