If you happen to be strolling down St. Laurent and are hungry, and you happen to be in the vicinity of Schwartz’s and in the mood for a fine smoked meat sandwich, then this is your place. The $5 sandwich + fries is a tasty meal; not huge but finely cooked and prepared.

If there’s a huge line up then just go to Mondo Fritz’s right next door; that’s the place to go for poutine.

At first I was disappointed, but as I explored the building it became clear to me that this was no ordinary museum. This place offers a tactile experience, a livable experience, and a historic experience. The curators have created a place that can truly impress upon you the importance of space and how a building can influence you and your behaviour.
