The last and only time I went to Korea was 1995. Lots of things have already changed, but the place left me with a good memory.

over 5 years agoThe last time I was in mainland China, I visited my family’s ancestral home in Fujien province. It wasn’t anything grand compared to the ones other people had, but I’m proud of it nevertheless. It’s the fruit of my grandfather’s hard work. It was built shortly after the Second World War. They didn’t stay there for long as they eventually moved to Hong Kong. The place was in poor condition when we got there, but it’s being renovated right now. The village is still a bit backward compared to the urban setting I’m used to, but it was still a very fun and memorable experience. The people were friendly, although there was a little too much tea. :)
Now Hong Kong..that’s another story.
