I really hate when I read bad reviews about Myrtle Beach :)

Anyway, I live here, born and raised here. I lived up north for a long time, too, but Myrtle Beach is my home. That being said…

Please don’t visit Myrtle Beach and think that locals are rude. We are, but not because we don’t like you. It’s because we hate the traffic and the space taken up in restaurants, concerts, the beaches themselves, whatever. We also hate the fact that dogs aren’t allowed on the beach and other dumb rules that exist for tourist season. We especially hate rude tourists that think the town is specifically made for their good time!! While you need to have a good time here and we DEFINITELY want you to, please remember that we LIVE here!! Don’t cuss us out or treat us like poop because you think we owe you something!! We love you though because your business makes MB what it is and the good tourists are some awesome people to talk to. Its just the stuck-up crappy fools that think they own the place because they rented a run-down rip-off beach condo for 3 days that we can’t stand!

Hey y’all. I live in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina but I drive through Dillon, SC/Rowland, NC on I-95 occasionally when I visit family up north (Ohio). For some reason I always have to pee when I drive through there. Anyway, the signs that you see on the way there are completely tacky and tasteless and plastered all over I-95, which is so embarassing because it makes SC look like a bunch of dumbass rednecks. Then when you actually see the place, its ridiculous. Cheesy, corny restaurants and places to shop. Do the rides even work there? I got off the highway and drove through it for a LAUGH, only to find that the sole visitors the place had were people who were making fun of the cheap, Mexican-themed decor. I have no interest in actually going to this place. I don’t even think it should still be open because it looks like the biggest waste of space in the universe. I don’t know what moron allowed someone to invest the time and money into opening a place like that. What is the freakin’ point? IF you want a good time, go to CEDARPOINT in Sandusky, Ohio. Best rides in the world!!!
