I loved Japan. I was stationed in Misawa about 16 years ago and i went everywhere i could. I’m kinda adventurous, so i would just hop on a train and ride until i ran out of time or money. Once i ran out of money far from home, with no way back. Instead of panicking, i looked for the lost and found area, walked in and wailed “I’M LOOOOOST!” hehe… the man at the counter gave me the money to get back to Misawa and laughed at me. He was surprised when i paid him back… The Japanese people are fun and sweet and the culture is just wonderful. Try not to stay in all the “Americanized” places. Hop on the train and just go, or you’ll miss all the good stuff.
