Denmark

(in Europe)

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Whoa...

Generally I’m a “country and landscape” sort of person, but I’ll tell you … the thing I noticed about Denmark - everywhere I went - was that the people there are uniformly GORGEOUS. Ok, maybe a tiny bit hyperbolic, but man … I’ve never been so frequently taken aback by the people around me. I don’t even mean lustfully. It was just a sort of … delight.

Spain

(in Europe)

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: A Mixed Bag

Spain was a mixed bag for me. I really enjoyed the small towns, but the larger cities - especially Barcelona - were pretty much cesspools. I was directly confronted by two prostitutes there (in all of Europe I was solicited by a total of 2), and solicited to buy drugs, etc.

On the other hand, it has (as does pretty much everywhere on the planet) it’s own, unique, beautiful places. Also, the world’s longest park bench is in Barcelona (I’m pretty sure it was Barcelona and not Madrid). That’s kind of … cool(?).

England

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Beautiful country

We rented a car in Oxford and drove around for a little over a week through England and Scotland. I really enjoyed the lake district. I found I enjoyed England more the further I got away from the bigger cities—but that’s just generally true for me.

Massachusetts

Not worth visiting!

A review of this place: To tell you the truth,

I have been to Massachusetts a number of times (maybe a dozen?) and it always has an oppressive and heavy spirit. It didn’t back in the 80s when I went. I don’t know if it was different then, or if I was (or both?). But I can’t seem to enjoy it anymore. I will say that regarding an aesthetic judgement, it has some very beautiful landscape and sights to see, and one of my best friends is from Concord and still lives there.

Colosseo

(in Italy > Lazio > Roma > Celio)

Worth visiting!

I do wish, though ...

... that they would renovate the Colosseum and hold shows in it.

I’d go.
