I wish there was an in-between rating. There are parts of Beloit that are quite pretty, especially along the river. However, part of it is dumpy and depressing.

Amazingly relaxing. Spend some time just sitting and gazing here.

I wish I could have spent more time here. It is huge and lovely.

Very enjoyable, especially looking for all of the gargoyles.

This is the closest Ikea to my house, and it is loads of fun to visit. Three floors of random, cheap, stylish stuff. You can even walk through their designed rooms (and be a little jealous).

Great Asian grocery store/bakery/dishes shop/liquor store/book store/food court. You can pick up some nifty candy, Qoo, tasty kitsune udon, and sushi and spend the morning wandering around. It’s not far from Ikea, and it makes for a good diversion.

My alma mater. It’s notorious for being a big drinking university, but honestly it has so much more going for it. Really high quality professors, right on the lake, in the lovely city of Madison, and a liberal environment. Check it out.

Worth visiting only if you’re staying with someone else and planning on travelling to other places. It was a nice respite from really touristy areas, but we did a lot of driving away from Tavares.

On a summer day, it is the best place in Madison to sit and read. On a summer night, it is the best place to gaze and neck. Wonderful view, plenty of chairs, and usually not crowded.

Fabulous music venue, and the view from the little second floor balcony is always lovely. Go go go.
