Bill and I Were Born There!

Arkansas is great! All my grandparents lived there. I’ve been fishing on nearly every lake in the state. (or at least it seems like it) There is so much to see, especially in the Ozarks. The summers are really hot, but I wouldn’t mind living there. Be sure to visit Hot Springs, Petit Jean State Park, and Eureka Springs.

Boring

The whole state is a flat mass on cornfields and tiny little farms. Occasionally there is a town. They are also boring. I don’t know why anyone would go there for entertainment purposes.

Museum of the Fur Trade

This a small but excellent museum, lovingly created by James Hanson, a scholar who studied the fur trade history of the Americas. I met him there years ago. Unfortunately James and his wife are both gone, but his museum lives on. If you are interested in this period of history, this is a place you should go out of your way to visit.
