Trust me when I say that you all in Toronto have nothing to complain about when it comes to mass transit. Compared to rail and bus service in Chicago (CTA), the TTC’s service is a godsend. All times I’ve been in T.O., I’ve never waited 40 minutes for a train (rush hour or late night), I didn’t have to cringe at the smell of urine (or worse) or some homeless person, I didn’t have to worry about sitting in a puddle of urine, I’ve never waited 20 minutes halfway between stations with my nose in some person’s armpit, people didn’t hurl themselves onto the tracks during rush hour, et al.

From East: Continue on Autoroute 20 E to Hwy-401 E in Ontario. Follow Hwy-401 E to Toronto. (IE don’t stop in Montreal as Toronto is far better.) I didn’t see what everybody else I know sees in this filthy, run-down, overpriced and overrated excuse of a city. I’d rather vacation in the Bronx in NYC!!

Don’t bother driving, the TTC is faster and cheaper. Last I was in Toronto, I bought a weekly pass instead of driving and it was truly convenient. Compared to the CTA in Chicago, this is a godsend. The trains, buses, and trolleys don’t smell of urine or other foul and unknown odours; trains come every 5 minutes as opposed to every 20-30 in Chicago; people don’t push and shove or crowd into one car; the ride is smooth and very quick; and overall, the price is just worth the service.
