Seems to be talked about as one of the “must see” tourist spots in Chicago, but it seems to fall pretty flat – a thin, mostly boring mall. Occasionally a decent art exhibit, but largely “meh”.

Of the big amusement parks of Ohio, Cedar Point is definitely the better of the two, but Kings Island is still worth visiting – it’s got some great coasters, including The Beast – 20somthing years old and still one of the best coasters ever built.

A great amusement park with some of (if not THE) best roller coasters in the nation. Definitely don’t miss The Raptor or Millenium Force, only a couple of the MANY coasters there.

Lots of great rock formations, well laid-out hiking trails, a nice canoeing trail (though it can get to shallow if the season’s been too try), places for camping as well as some very nice bed & breakfasts.

The last public markethouse in Columbus – it houses 2-3 dozen different merchants, almost all food or grocery-related. It’s a fun place to get organic or more unusual grocery items (game meats, international foods, including beers, wines and cheeses).
Even better than the shopping in my opinion is the eating—there are a wide variety of food vendors, selling all kinds of different foods – Mexican, Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Greek, deli, sushi, pizza, etc… and don’t miss Jeni’s Ice Cream for very tasty and unique ice cream flavors.

Wish there was a “neutral” option—Norton House is just one of many dorms at OSU – not particularly bad or good. Home (or at least used to be home) to the Agriculture living/learning program.
