Great food, friendly people, lots to see. If only I had more time. I would love to go back one day (and soon because everywhere is getting more and more touristy as I type). But it was a great place, and an excellent stopover.

The airport is so funny. All outdoors and completely non-airport like. The main part of the island is a bit overun by tourists, but it is a big island and there are places to get away and find a nice beach.

Never had time for diving, but had a chance to go snorkelling and that was fantastic too

It was amazing here. Less touristy then down the south so it is possible to meet some great locals who are so friendly and things are a bit cheaper. There is still heaps to see, with a great night market and also day trips up to the mountains with rafting, visiting hill tribes and elephant riding. One of the best things we did was an amazing cooking class at pad thai cooknig school. It was so much fun, the food is great, and the people were fantastic.

But long enough to enjoy the beer, chocolate, waffles and belgian fries. Definately worth it.

Worth it for my boyfriend. His family is from here so it was great for him to discover his roots

We had a few days bad weather, but made the most of the beautiful location. We spent one day trying to find horse shit balls in Gimmelwald, but the restaurant was closed. Also went to Murren, but the calbe car to the top of Shiltorn was closed due to high winds. The highlight for sure was learning to snowboard in the Swiss Alps. Could have spent way more time there, but I think it would be nice to go in summer when there are more adventure sports running.

Beautiful lakes, mountains, buidlings and bridges. Can’t go wrong. Going up to Titlis was a highlight. The view was amazing.

It is a beautiful city. Mountains in the background, great hiking, but we went there with one purpose – to ski, and there is no snow anywhere in Europe this winter (although it is possibly on the way, fingers crossed). So although it was a nice place to stop, with a fantastic little hostel, we never did get to ski there. The only place to ski is at the glacier, and that has year round skiing.

Really lovely arond Christams with a great atmoshpere and all the x-mas markets.
