My husband, his folks, and myself were shouting, whistling, etc. to hear the echo. My husband wanted to find an outhouse, and as he turned to walk away, he farted. The echo was like a pistol shot! My father-in-law, who is hard of hearing, asked what that noise was. When I told him, he almost fell down laughing!

If you go, don’t plan on swimming in the pool, as they don’t have one. They DO have two hot tubs, one has a waterfall over rocks, which is really pretty. BOTH are hotter than all get out! I barely got in, and had to get right back out. I don’t take baths that hot!

The food is great. Be sure and get your order in before 9pm at the Fireplace grill, as they close at 9:30, but the casino is open all night. There are 2 other places in there to get food. Last year, they had a gift shop, but it is closed now.

We turned off on the wrong road, and took a back way in to Matsqui, which was only 20 miles in. We didn’t try to skip out on the entrance, just a queer goof.

We delivered a D.O.T. load there. My co-driver ran over a car when leaving the airport tarmac. That got him in a lot of trouble.

We were hoping to get to go to Bangor. Barely entered the state to visit Grey. That’s the only time I’ve ever been in Maine.

We were just driving through the first time we went through. Later, we stopped at a lot of different places to eat and spend the night while trucking.

We delivered grass seed from Tangent, Oregon to Grey, Maine, our longest trip ever, basically coast-to-coast! We ate sheep meat on pizza at some local place. My co-driver broke the garage door on the place we were delivering too, not paying attention while backing up.

I’ve long forgotten the name of the truckstop, but I ate 23 eggs there that day!

We ate clam chowder. Who doesn’t?

The truck stop was shitty, but the company was good. I met my daughter’s father there in the snow on a crappy week-end in January of 1999. We were laid over, and he was there because his truck broke down. I ended up jumping truck to ride with him, and we partnered together for the next 4 years.
