try to go on a clear day – you’d get great views of the ocean! i went on a day when there was so much ash from the nearby brush fires – so the sky was hazy… but it’s still lovely.

the food used to be really good there… now it’s not as good… but it’s a great place to get a drink while waiting on a flight.

why am i always called on for rides to/from the airport???? sigh…

i love the chicken curry somen – i get that every time.

the food wasn’t that good – but it was a nice place to visit!

i slipped on the ice – almost broke my back… it’s gorgeous – but i’m never going back in the wintertime… ever again.

some random crusty old tramp started giving me and my friend an impromptu tour of the area around the abbey – and told us to enter thru the exit to avoid the lines… he was the best thing that happened to us that day… but he kept wanting to have me thrown into the river (or at least that’s most of what i understood)... but all the stories he told had me cracking up… if you find him, just go along for the ride…

go to the museum too! i think every kid who attended elementary school in los angeles has been here. i like to visit the park and poke and prod the tar that bubbles up in random spots in the park – they’re easy to locate – there are usually tons of branches and twigs and straws sticking out of them.
