I went to both Compton Bay and Brook Bay this bank holiday weekend – it was great to watch all the surfers, body boarders, and kite surfers! Such a great atmosphere, lovely beach, windy, with rugged hills and rocks to climb. You really feel at one with nature here.
over 6 years agoIf you want to see The Needles, you don’t need to follow that road that leads all the way to the £3 car park. You can turn into the road to the golf course and park there for free, and follow the stony path down to the bay.
over 6 years agoSuch a friendly, pretty little market town, with a train line directly up to Guildford/Woking/London and down to Portsmouth. I hope to live there someday! :)
