Yes, city walls tour is amaizing. You may spend 2-3 hours enjoying surroundings from the wall. I’ve found restaurants in the innercity quite expensive. If it is hot wheather, cheap opportunity is to buy food in the bakery and enjoy it near the fountain at the entrance to the old city.

If you fly from Europe, visiting Montenegro at the moment might be a bit more expensive, than Turkish riviera, but Montenegro is amaizing. You hardly get “all inclusive” for a reasonable price there, but there are a lot of things to enjoy: nature, sea, local people, a lot of sightseens, close to Croatia, exotic and tasty food, good alcohol. Prices are low. You may have a flat (bedroom, kitchen, terrace, bathroom) 15 minutes from the beach for 30 euro per day. I will definitely go there again. Probably by car from Germany through Italy to see Venice and Florence, and then by ferry to Bar in Montenegro. Should be a nice trip.

For non-party people Philips museum worth visiting.
Stratumsein street is full of bars, pubs, disco, you may easily pass several nights there.
The technical university is big and strong. Very good place to do you master or start a PhD if your major is math, computer science, chemistry and so on.
It is 1 hour 20 minutes by train from Amsterdam.
