yes, there are lots of cultural attractions and the area is beautifully landscaped. but the area is not safe – there are lots of muggings, car thefts, rapes, assaults. even when we lived here out mail was stolen by our neighbors, who were fellow case students.

parking is also very difficult at times, expensive and very limited. which is a shame since there are alot of nice things to see – the botanical gardens, art museum, severance hall, the case campus itself with its myriad architecture styles, and several restaurants.

lots of shopping! there’s got to be at least one of every store you’ve ever heard of up here. there’s just strip mall after strip mall- the people are pretty friendly and there’s some of the lowest gas prices of the region. yay!!

the APD is one of the only 24 hour establishments in Kutztown. It’s located next to the airport, and on weekends you can eat brunch and watch the little 2 seater planes fly. It’s a great hangout after hours, with good food at nice prices – huge slices of carrot cake and free coffee refills. It has the standard diner fare, which is good if you’re just looking for something filling. Breakfast available 24 hours, and one of the best (only) places in town to go when the bars close. Just be sure to get the big parking space :o)
