I stayed up all night on 9/11 watching the endless stream of images that came out of New York that day…

To go here and see the hole (before it was filled in) was an amazing and in some ways confronting experience

So it’s a bit dirty and the only trees you can find outside of Central Park are pretty much dead – but my God there’s a lot to do in this city!

Lived in Newtown for about ten years…and they were ten of the best years of my life! Going to Uni at Sydney Uni down the road, going to the Townie and any of the loads of other pubs around the place and generally creating havoc…

Ah Newtown, you’ll always feel like home

I grew up in Cronulla, which is the beachside suburb in the Shire. It’s a really lovely area and a great place if you like the beach and sun and getting into the surf.

It’s had it’s share of bad press recently but it’s still one of my best loved areas of Australia.

Alright so you’ve seen all the touristy shots of Sydney…but have you seen all the cool restaurants, clubs, markets and places to hang out around the city – cos there’s heaps of them and you need to!

Love this place, not just because I grew up here either.

Moved here from Sydney, been here about seven years now and it is just the most amazing city to live in…always something going on!

Loved this city and go back regularly for work – although Oakland isn’t exactly my favourite bit of it :)

Very eclectic and fun place to hang out

Markets – I love them. And London has a million of them! And really good ones too. Get down to Spitalfields market if you can, great designer clothes, art, music and knick-knacks for pretty good prices (for London anyway!).

Outside of that, London is an amazing city that is just huge and filled with interesting stuff to do.

I go there for work now, so I get to go at least once a year – worth going back a bit if you can as it changes fairly regularly and there’s a fair bit to do and see.

Amazing amount of history in this city, balanced with a feeling of energy and readiness to change and grow that I found really refreshing.

Been here twice now and it is just such an amazing place, full of tiny backstreets and laneways, amazing little restaurants and great museums (although if you want to go to the Louvre I’d go early!!!).

Totally awesome city, I could go back again and again and would still love it just as much.

People will tell you that the French, and especially Parisiennes, can be rude and unaccomodating – I totally disagree. I’ve been twice now and it is a beautiful city with beautiful people.
