Santa Rosa, Sonoma County

What you will discover...

I spent a lot of my life in Santa Rosa. Although I felt bored while living there, I can appreciate it much more now that I am living in a much smaller town.
Santa Rosa is home of Charles Schulz (creator of the Peanuts comics). After his death, you can see remnants of the characters all over the city. Woodstocks and Charlie Brown statues are located in various points all over the city. They are painted magnificently, all by different artists. Some local companies have purchased these statues and have put them on their property. There is also a bronze statue of Snoopy in Santa Rosa’s historic Railroad Square.
Located only about 60 miles north of San Francisco, and in the much desired Sonoma County, it has a great climate, with mild winters and 3 growing seasons. It is also near the famous Napa County. These two counties are known as the Wine Country, so wine tasting should definitely be on your agenda if you attend this region. over 5 years ago

South Korea, Asia

Untitled

I’m half Korean. A large part of my family lives there and I’ve never met them! I’ve only met my grandma on my mother’s side, so I hope to go there someday and meet the rest of the family.
I also hope to learn more about Korean culture and the language. over 5 years ago

Yosemite National Park, Central California

Whiskey Wednesday

After climbing Yosemite Falls and my body was swollen from being eaten by mosquitoes, we took the shuttle which goes around the valley area and to all the campsites.
I started talking to a group of Yosemite employess that were on the bus. They were pretty cool. They invited my boyfriend and I to “Whisky Wednesday”, which was a “pary” the employees held every Wednesday. They would go out into the middle of the woods and drink, sing songs and bang on drums. I politely declined because I was tired, but it sure sounded like fun! over 5 years ago
