the ancient quarter is breathtakingly beautiful, its fiesta is wonderful, lots of lovely wee shops, some good places to eat & drink – but the catalans are a sour bunch (unless you are also catalan) and difficult to like or even get to know.

Came out here on a bit of a whim. Someone I met thru my blog invited me to submit a piece of art (a book) i’d made to an exhibition there. fell in love not only with her, but the city, its people, its warmth and vitality.
