And I can’t say enough good things about the city. It has great weather, great people, great activities and it is difficult to imagine a more beautiful city.

I spent one week paddling from Loredo down to Agua Verde with Outwardbound. It was a great time and a great way to learn to sea kayak. I was a little disappointed by the lack of challenges. I didn’t think the paddling was tough nor was the camping.

After the Outwardbound trip I traveled up the cost a little. Staying on various beaches and enjoying the sun, surf and Coronas.

I had a great time learning about Japan and high schoolers. We visited Tokyo, Takayama in Hida, Hiroshima and Kyoto. Traveling by train and bus we saw an incredible about of the country. I was surprised by the mountainous the interior of the island. For some reason I thought Japan had just the one mountain- Fuji.

I want to do it all on the other side of the world.
