Grand Canyon National Park, Coconino County
Has to be seen!
You never realize what it really looks like until you look over the edge and see for yourself. It’s been over 15 years since I was there so I think I’m due to go back soon.

over 6 years agoLived there for 2 years. I didn’t have much money at the time but there was plenty to do with little or no money. Probably the most beautifile scenery in Texas is in and around Austin. It’s a hilly area in a flat state. Coming from the San Francisco area, seeing hills is a comfort. Lots of nice bike riding in the area, not to mention the bars and clubs.
over 6 years agoThis place is enormous, words don’t do it’s size justice. It is still a mall and as such, I’m baffled why people would come to Minneapolis (it’s actually in Bloomington) just to see the mall (people actually do this). I have been to Minneapolis twice on business. The first time was in January…OMFG!!! I have never felt cold like that. It was so cold, I was actually in pain. My idea of dressing for the cold is jeans, sweater snowboard jacket and boots. I would have needed a space suit not to feel cold here. My last trip was in August and it was much more comfortable alebit a tad humid.
If you visit the Minneapolis area, I highly recommend a Bar/Restaurant called Redstone. It’s a bit of a yuppie place but the food is excellent. They also have an open fire pit outside too keep you warm while waiting to get in in the winter time. Oddly, there are ice cubes in the urinals in the mens room. I can’t comment on the ladies room. The food was on the expensive side ($100 or so for 2) but hey it was a business trip so it wasn’t my money. We tried some of the mainstream chain restaurants too but they paled in comparison.
