Brooklyn

Worth visiting!

amazing

If you consider yourself young and hip and you haven’t been to Williamsburg yet, you need to get with it because what Manhatten was back in the day, Brooklyn is now.
Great culture- amazing museums, music scene, great food, cool people. Just going there ups your cool points in my book, living there makes up atop the hipster hierarchy.
Just go for God’s sake.

Atlanta

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Hotlanta!

Atlanta’s amazing and if you don’t know it you’ve been living under a rock for the past 50 years. Little 5 points is definately the place to be, rivaling Williamsburg Brooklyn in its hipster appeal.
This truly is the city with something for everyone, for history buffs, for shoppers, for night owls, whatever.
The nightclub scene is great, but the museums were somewhat disapointing (specifically the High Museum- it’s no MET), with the exception of civil rights museums. The food is great, can be expensive but there are plenty of deals if you know where to look. I would recommend Atlanta to everyone!

Orlando

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Not bad...

Orlando’s ok. Whatever you do stay out of Disney Land, unless of course you’re 7 or mentally disabled…or both. Orlandians can be annoying, but some are cool. I went to a couple indy bars (including of course I-Bar, which I wasn’t that impressed with) and I enjoyed myself. A couple of my friends moved there so I’ll be down a lot more often. I hate how much of a sprawling suburbia it is, but there is a decent amount of stuff to do there so I can’t complain.

Boston

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: It's no New York, but it's ok

I love Boston because of the New England weather and scenery. It has a decent amount of museums and culture. It’s a great place if you’re a history buff, but that kind of stuff bores me. The locals are kind of obnoxious, but I’m used to it being from Jersey and all. It’s a great break from hanging out in New York/New Jersey.

New Jersey

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Could be worse

Jersey has a terrible reputation, but honestly it’s not that bad. True, the environment isn’t the greatest, and the people are not the most enlightened, but I grew up with it and have learned to love it, especially after living in Florida.

I love the proximity to the city, and there’s plenty of areas that have the same hipster appeal that many search for in New York (like Monclair for example). Public transportation is pretty good, the food is good, but Jersey is a little behind on fashion despite the ridiculous amount of shopping malls.

Pretty much it’s a give and take relationship, but the good outweighs the bad.

Not worth visiting!

ok for a college town

If you’re into jocks and sorostitutes, it may be the perfect place for you. But if you’re like me and are more likely to visit an art gallery than a football game, you might find that finding fun things to do is at times kind of straining. It’s great for the outdoorsy type, lots of trails, Appalachia National Forest and Wakulla springs right down the street, great places to camp, boat, etc. (In fact the more I stay in tally the more outdoorsy I become)
There is Waterworks, which has a cool lounge feel, and many young scenesters tend to flock to Big Daddy’s and Inn Between, but I don’t recommend going there if you’re over the age of 20.
Because it is a college town and there are people there from different areas, there is somewhat of diversity in the people there. No matter what kind of people you chill with, essentially house parties are the way to go.
