I’ll never forget my trip to Philadelphia. Most people could not understand what I was saying, I have a strong Scottish accent, but I had a great time. I was asked “Where’s your kilt?” and “Do you live in a castle?” Hilarious! I will keep the warmth of the people I met there in my wee Scottish heart forever.
over 5 years agoOver the Sea to Skye…the drive from Glasgow takes you past Eilean Donan Castle, one of the prettiest in Scotland, the Skye Bridge is now toll free. Visit if you get the chance, it’s a magical place to see.
over 5 years agoUllapool has an annual guitar festival – I’ve been a few times and loved it. I would recommend you visit this gorgeous little town, it lies on the gulf stream and is surprisingly warm, just like the locals. You can walk for miles, with beautiful scenery all around. It’s the only place I’ve ever run out of road while driving!
