Went here with my foundation Art and Design course. ….mid-winter…..freezing cold with about 9 layers on and desperately trying to sketch despite my numb fingers.

Beautiful downstairs – amazing brightly coloured carved pillars and walls.

But even more beautiful upstairs….just a huge room with one wall taken over by a stained glass window. Get there on a brigt day and the whole room lights up!

….well…….that ride was down for repairs the last time I went actually! But everything else was running smoothly and goooood fun!

Love this place…..

Always used to love it as a child but never thought I’d enjoy it quite so much as an adult!!!

I recommend it to EVERYONE……even the sceptics….TRY IT!

So much to do….fun fun fun!

This place is indeed beautiful but there’s almost something eerie about it……a pretty surreal place to visit.

A really interesting and beautiful people with a real mix of cultures and religions (African, chinese, indian…) If you get a chance to explore try to hunt down some of the amazing sari shops (in most of the major villages)….had never seen anything like it!!…..floor to ceiling crammed full of every colour and decoration you could imagine.

Enjoyed swimming in the most beautiful turquiose seas I’d ever experienced …..that is until the dive guide told me about the sharks…..(I have a totally irrational but ever present fear of sharks)
