Iceland

(in Europe)

Worth visiting!

Why I recommend this place to visitors

You want clean fresh air, nice people, good food, amazing shopping, and clean tap water all of the time? Then visit Iceland!! I visited in May for a 10 day trip and it was one of the best times I ever had on vacation. There is so much history throughout Iceland, starting with the Vikings that came over from Norway and Denmark. I touched a glacier from the last Ice Age!! Visited some of the most beautiful countyside and went to one of the most amazing areas – Vik, there were farms, ocean, countryside, and 10 miles away were some glaciers. Iceland is the only place in the world that you can have that all in one place at one time! ;) More later.

Pearl Paint

Worth visiting!

Why I recommend this place to locals

Pearl’s chain isn’t everywhere in the US…only a few chosen states are lucky enough to have a Pearl! Pearl is best art supplies store in my eyes. You can find great sketch/drawing tablets, pens, and tons of different paint brushes. Pearl still carries some of the best line of colored pencils that have ever been made; Prismacolor’s. Before Prismacolor was merged by Sanford a few years back, they were made differently and in my opinion worked much better. Pearl is the place for great portfolio’s as well, they have quite a few to choose from! :-)

Times Square

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

If you are from NY or the surrounding area whereas you have been to Times Scary before….you might not want to go all of the time. I personally think it’s fine if I am taking people there that have never been there before, but guys, this is a tourist area. It’s fun the first couple times you are there and then it’s just no reason to go back unless you want to go to the Hard Rock (my opinion), since they move it there. But there is plenty of shopping, things to see and things to eat everywhere else in NY without being in Times Square. I have never wanted to be in Times Square at Midnight on New Years eve, but that is just me.

London

Worth visiting!

London, my favorite European city...

When I first went to London in August 1999, I was in love. Basically everything that was British and English/Londonish – I was sucked up by. I have been back 4 times and for some reason every time I go to Europe I always have to go back to London. The friendliness and the vibe that I get when I am there is one of the most supreme. There is always so much to see and do. I feel very alive when I am there.

Even though I am usually up for about 50 hours before my body is on track from EST time to the 5hr time difference. London is one of the most interesting cities in Europe to me. The culture, the history, the food, the shopping, the fashion, the art, the accents and the modern culture as well. You will be sure to have a great time in London if you like any of the above.

If you want to know anything let me know.

Arizona

Worth visiting!

Sedona, AZ

Sedona so far has been one of my favorite Western US places to visit. I went there for a day trip while staying in Peroia/Phoenix area in August 2003…I loved Bell Rock and just climbing up all the smaller mountains..such beautiful and breathtaking views. Got myself a nice dreamcatcher since I collect them.

Central Park

Worth visiting!

Central Park - My fave!

I love it so much, I am getting married there in October at the Central Park Conservatory Garden {South Garden}, it is going to be one hell of a ceremony, with violins and beautiful fall foliage. I couldn’t ask for a better set up. Be sure to check out the Swedish cottage and head up for some lunch at Tavern on the Green {where my reception is going to be} Ohh and be sure to see the park in every season!

Metropolitan Museum Of Art

Worth visiting!

MOMA

The MOMA is not my fave museum, but that is just because I don’t like modern art as much as I like pre 1900’s art. If you are in NYC for a short visit { I don’t suggest you go to the MOMA} or long visit {surely}, but this is a definite learning experience. You might want to check out the Cloisters uptown as well. Enjoy!

Jamaica

Worth visiting!

Jamaica

I won’t have to much to say about Jamaica, because I was very young when I traveled there…I was 13 going on 14 and it was on our families first cruise on Carnival Cruise Line – The Holiday. We spent only one day, because that is the way cruises work…in and out in no time, but it was fun. I climbed these falls {unfortunately my brain cannot remember the name}, but that was exhilirating! Very pretty rainforest scenery. Definitely a neat place I want to check out again in the future to get a better glimpse since I am older now.

Pier 39

Worth visiting!

Pier 39

Time well spent! Money well spent. The seals on the docks are adorable, they will talk to you for hours. I got some great shots of Alcatraz from one of the piers. Definitely a must see while you are in San Fran.
