I have lived in Japan for three years (Yamaguchi, Fukuoka) and have travelled extensively. After all that time it’s pretty hard to give you one sentence that sums up my feelings for the place!

I’d be very happy to help anyone that’s thinking of visiting Japan. I speak fluent Japanese so can probably help out with that too :)

I loved my trip to Vietnam, and am seriously contemplating spending more time there, perhaps as an English teacher (which is how I first escaped Blighty).

Particular highlights for me were Hanoi (especially the Old Quarter and the parks near the lakes), Hue and Hoi An. I have fond memories of sitting in the shade, watching the world go by, and waiting for my coffee to sloooowly drip-drip-drip through the filter. If anyone knows where I can buy Vietnamese coffee in London, do please let me know :)
