Winchester Mystery House

Not worth visiting!

A review of this place

Just FYI admission price is $17…totally not worth it. I was pressured in to paying it, because I was with a group…the admission price for this place should be more like $5. It’s actually pretty morally disgusting when you hear how much the woman that built this house spent…all to “save her” from the ghosts of victims that had been killed by Winchester rifles. Instead of dropping that kind of dough on ridiculous staircases that lead to nowhere, how about funding a charity for the widows and orphans of those who died because of Winchester Rifles?

McCarran International Airport

The last time I went to this place

This airport sucks! With the new security regulations regarding liquids and early arrival times, the TSA branch here is SEVERELY understaffed. I have never seen such horrendous lines at the ticketing counters or at the security checkpoints. The line this morning at 5:45 AM literally went from one end of the terminal and horseshoed back around. With the way people market Vegas to death, you’d think that the local politicians would make the airport priority number one…better staffed to serve the huge market they advertize to!

Basilique Du Sacré-Coeur

Spectacular View of Paris

Perhaps you’ve seen this church in Amelie…where Mr. Quincampoix has to follow the arrows up the stairs. It provides a spectacular view of Paris from the terrace.

Fisherman's Wharf

Worth visiting!

Go for the street performers.

They are definitely better than the ones in Santa Monica or Venice Beach.

Next time, I'm bringing my Tennis Racket!

There are tennis lawns that are open to the public. And a big garden maze that I totally got lost in.

Tate Modern

Worth visiting!

Definitely worth it

For the simple fact that exhibits are arranged topically! So the focus could be paintings of trash cans…and there would be 50 of em! A great way to experience art. We ended up almost not going, because it is kinda far away on the south side of London. That would have been a tragic mistake…very glad I went.

Roscoe's House Of Chicken N' Waffles - Hollywood

Worth visiting!

A Soul Food Classic!

Of the 5 locations of this Los Angeles chain, I recommend the Long Beach location. It’s always clean and never crowded, and the service is excellent (Dwight and Eric, HOLLA!). To all newcomers, I recommend you try out #13, the Carol C. special, a waffle and a succlent fried chicken breast. The yams and macaroni and cheese are also worthy sides.

Wilhelmshöhe

(in Germany > Hessen > Kassel)

Worth visiting!

Europe's Largest Hillside Park

Kassel itself is just a bland town with a ton of 1960s square concrete buildings. But this park is a gem! My sister made us go hiking here early in the morning, and it was probably the most memorable experience of my trip to Europe (which included first time visits to London, Paris, Venice, Rome and Florence.) It has fantastic fountains, gorgeous grounds, a hunting lodge, and of course, the Wilhelmshohe palace. You’ll get lost in the 19th century Baroque landscape design.

Great for nightlife and people watching…especially during Fleet Week!
