Well, the cat show venue was horrible (think inflatable dome on a golf course, hot and dirty, Loki pissed, etc.), but we did visit the Old Market in Omaha on Saturday evening for some shopping and dinner. May I suggest Ahmed’s Persian Cuisine…it was SOOOOOO good. The flavors were wonderful and it was quite filling; a little expensive for frequent eating but not too bad for the occasional treat. We also visited a Slavic import shop which had some of the prettiest glasswork I have seen. On Sunday before we left town we took the boys to see the Joslyn Castle. We couldn’t take the tour because it was too hot to leave them in the car, but we did take some pictures of them outside the castle. It’s a good weekend trip but any longer and I think I’d get bored.

We just got back from St. Louis for Loki’s first cat show. While there we visited the Gateway Arch and took pictures of the boys with it in the background. They had a great time and are all tuckered out tonight.

I’ll be going here in October (I think) for a cat show and I need to research some interesting things to see and do.

This upcoming weekend I’m going to a cat show here and I’m hoping to get to the big arch before we have to leave for home on Saturday evening. Because I will have the kittie with me it will be harder, but that just means they’ll have to explore the arch with us.

This is where my mother-in-law lives and where I was married. It has a waterfront downtown that I can spend hours in. It’s pretty cold there a lot so I wouldn’t want to live there, but it’s really nice during the summer and there are lots of things to do in and around the area.

I’ve been here for a cat show so I didn’t see much of the area, but I did eat at this great pub which had really good food. I will definatly be going back for cat shows and it is a convienent stop along the way from Missouri to Texas. Hopefully I will get to see more of it the next time.

My family has been visiting here for as long as I can remember. For the last few years, we had been renting a condo right on the beach every few years for a week. We would rent a tent and chairs all week, eat out every night, go to waterparks, the beach, fishing, and then some (mind you, this is the only vacation we go on every 2-3 years).

This has been touted as a Spring Break local in the last few years and I’ve never been down there during that time, but there is a sweet time right at the beginning of June when the rates are still mid-range and the place isn’t very busy. I want to go again.

I lived here for 2 summers during college and visited my husband here all during college. It’s very liberal and has many interesting places, restaurants, parks, and one of the largest universities in the world.

I don’t know if I would want to live there permanently, but I love to visit.

I visited here with my husband and in-laws on a day trip. This was great because we boarded a ferry as walk-ons and we were able to walk through Victoria all day and not worry about parking with a car. There are lots of shops and places to explore, and of course being on the water is great for me.
