I went on a Habitat for Humanity Trip in Beattyville Kentucky my senior year of high school. Met some great, friendly, and worthwhile people during my visit. There is a real simple charm about this place that i’ll never forget along with the hilarious memories i’ll treasure from this trip forever.

Make sure you try Ale 81 (a late one hahha) a KY made soda/pop that’s found in every maching on every corner and probably only good while you’re there, i still have a bottle sitting on my bookshelf to remind me of good ol KY.

we checked out the natural bridge (a huge rock formation that towers over the tree tops)one afternoon which was definitely worth the hike up even in the heat i would recommend it to anyone in the area

we didn’t go to any big cities or see any major sites but i still love KY and probably always will
