    Philadelphia

    Worth visiting!

Liberty Bell  — 2 years ago

nuff said. Ha, just kidding. Philly is pretty sweet though. That one street, South Street is it? With all the funky shops? I liked that place. Philly is like a mix of Boston historicalness and NYC badassedness and a little Amish farmer’s market thrown in for fun. Great food, fun to visit.

    Croatia

    (in Europe)

    Worth visiting!

Magical land!  — 2 years ago

I had a Croatian boyfriend in high school and was extremely lucky to visit Croatia twice since then. It is an AMAZING beautiful country. The people are dramatic and friendly, the food is amazing, they love to drink, there’s tons of seafood along the coast, and the historic places like Dubrovnik are totally spectacular. It’s probably the most fabulous vacation spot I could imagine, especially if you get out to the islands. If you’re going, I’m jealous.

    Santa Cruz

    Worth visiting!

no place like home  — 2 years ago

I lived in Santa Cruz from age 4 onwards, until I went away for school. I live in Boston now and I get soooo homesick for the mellow eccentricities of the people and mild climate… the scenic beauty that is all around (west cliff drive, Natural Bridges, Wilder Ranch)... the new age gift shops, the surfers, the skaters, the greasers, the hippies, the mexican food… it is hard to describe how different the lifestyle is in a place like Santa Cruz versus Boston. Santa Cruz is all about being laid back and enjoying yourself, Boston is very hectic and cranky. Sometimes I feel ill-equipped to deal with the harsh realities of existence outside of Santa Cruz, but I think Santa Cruz also gave me a core of free-spiritedness and optimism that will carry me through. Those people who say “only worth a day” are probably right if you’re just being a tourist, but to those who like to soak up a place, Santa Cruz is a great place to extendedly visit friends or go to school or hike or surf. Especially during “indian summer” – September-October.
