Detmold is the home town of my Grandfather. It’s also the capital of the former principality of Lippe. My mom says her father claimed to have gone ice skating with the son of the noble family, who later married the queen of Holland. There are a lot of nice places to visit in Detmold.

over 5 years agoPeshtigo Wisconsin burned down in 1871, killing hundreds, including my great-great-grandma’s brother and sisters…. The museum there is really great, it’s in an old church.
