A review of this place: fantastic experience

Nothing I can say will be able to capture how amazing this trip was…ridiculously memorable. Lovely people, excellent food, gorgeous country, and fantastic historic sites.

A tip I have about this place

The best chocolate I have ever had was in Bruge, and I don’t just mean because it was Belgian, I mean the best Belgian chocolate ever!

Why I recommend this place to visitors

I was there in 1996, and it was amazing to just wander around freely, not like those tours, that make you walk as part of the herd. The history, the walls, just an amazing piece of history, that is so accessible. This was a highlight of our trip to England…

Cabo San Lucas

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

Stay in the Marina, near all the action. Its not loud, but you can walk everywhere, and do whatever you want whenver you want.
My favorite place in Mexico, but I hate all the big all-inclusive joints. I like doing my own thing, so Cabo works well.

Vimy

Worth visiting!

A review of this place

While Vimy Ridge is actually in France, it is considered a Canadian National Park. Walking around the land is an unbelievable experience. The trenches, the monument, and walking in the tunnels. Very emotional. Probably the most memorable part of my trip to Europe.

Paris

Worth visiting!

How this place changed my life

As a teenager I really wanted to go to Paris, but alas I got into University. When I finished my degree, I thought I would go directly, but then I unexpectedly got a job. Then I thought I would meet a guy and get married in Paris, but that didn’t quite work out either. Then my work gave me time off to complete my Masters degree, and I managed to lure my girlfriend into a 6 week trip abroad. I’ll never forget getting off the plane the next morning, and taking the train into the city, getting off at the Hotel de Ville (our hotel was across the street) and checking out La Seine. Insane. I’ve love to live there!
