I took a trip up to Fraser Island from Noosa on 4 June 2006 courtesy of http://www.fraserislanddiscovery.com.au/ The trip was great, went up in two Nissan Patrols and with the help of our very experienced tourguides/drivers had a great day.

such a laid back place, a great village atmosphere and no need to cook with this variety of eateries on your doorstep

The culture.. what more can I say… it’s well worth experiencing!

Don’t bother taking an unbrella, the rain falls almost horizontally on the “few” blustery days they have.

I went over here in the 80’s It was just being built and it was then an oasis tucked into a valley surrounded by semi arid dessert and was a great escape from the rat race!

Take plenty of money… the adventures you can have here aren’t cheap, the shops are open till 10pm and the bars.. don’t get me started… 10/10.. ps. flying into Queenstown is an experience as well ;)

I was born here.. Dartford hospital seems to be the hub of activities when it comes to life changing activities.. I’m still here so they staff there did a great job… Thanks ;)

My first visit to this place was as as a 14 year old. I travelled alone from boarding school in the UK on holday trips to be with my parents back in the 80’s and remeber the 4hr trip from jo’burg up through the northern transvaal.. fantastic scenery, vast expansive wilderness and a small oasis of greenery that oozes charm…

Don’t get out of the car… you may end up being lunch ;)
