Seriously, two of the most different places within one country that I’ve been to. Beijing had some elements that reminded me of Cuba actually. It was very difficult to get around but it was amazing to see The Forbidden Palace, the Great Wall, and just exploring the city in general.

On the other hand, Shanghai is very modern compared to Beijing and much more “westernized.” More people speak English here and they tend to hold themselves in “higher class” than other parts of China. I liked it a lot though and wouldn’t mind going back.

Further along the spectrum, I also visited Hong Kong on this trip. HK is tons of fun, it’s much more international. Plus the food! AMAZING! FOOD! I love it.

On this go round I only hit up Interlaken but it was one of the most beautiful places I saw in Europe. I stayed at Balmers which was a lot like being at summer camp. We also went paragliding with the coolest people and hiked around. The lake we swam in was so clear (and cold!), much different than lakes I’ve been to around here!

We also went on an 8 hour hike and found this cute little town up in the mountains. Snow was still capping the top of the mountains. It was amazing.

The best part of Italy (besides the food) is the art! I spent the most time in Florence where I wandered EVERYWHERE (by foot mind you) and explored all the little art galleries/museums. For an art enthusiast, you cannot NOT go to Italy! Rome was a lot of fun in a different way, much bigger city but with a lot more to do! The cultural landmarks and use of renaissance in everyday life is amazing. I love Italy!

Truly one of my favorite places in the world. I’ve been to Dublin and Cork County. The southern part is charming and the people are so friendly! Not to mention driving through the greenest hills I have ever seen. Can’t wait to go back!

I’ve only been to London in England but I really love it. It was very international and easy to get around. Since it’s a big city, it’s easy to wander around and be anonymous. Plus it the National Gallery is amazing!

One of my favorite places by far though, is Scotland. I had the best times in Edinburgh and I would love to live there some day. It’s smallish but diverse and so much fun! Glasgow was beautiful and I wish I spent more time there.
