Why would someone go to Meerbusch? It’s a small and quiet city, just about 50K inhabitants scattered over 8 small comunities. Nevertheless Meerbusch is beautifully located on the banks of the river Rhine and very centrally in Nordrhein-Westfalen which makes the city a good place to stay and to discover its surroundings. Düsseldorf is just 15 mins by subway, Cologne is just 30 mins by car, the Ruhr-Area is just 30 mins to the North and even Amsterdam (just 2 hours) or Paris (4 hours by car) are in easy reach.

The dutch border is just 30 mins by car from my place so it is very easy (and fast) to get there… Each time it is like a little holiday…

Butjadingen, Niedersachsen

Just returned from Butjadingen on the 1st of August 2006.

We had a sunny time along the beach, enjoying the countryside and the fishermen.
