… with New Wife! It was a short, brief and wonderful stay. Hot, 107+Humidity, but fun. Got to see most of the unique and historical sites (civil war, Parthenon, honkey-tonks, etc). It was great! Would love to go back…

I went over to Virginia to visit my friend John at the Military Army Base there by Leesburg. I also took the opportunity to visit some historical sites. Washington DC was a straight shot, simple drive up a main highway, and the famous Virginia Beach was a beautiful scenic route hardly a distance to sigh about. Though a bit humid, I enjoyed the lush greenery and cleanliness brought by the constant rain. The only thing that bothered me was the gigantic spiders!!

Edmonton is their capitol, and they’re very proud of their Oilers. But there’s a pretty big rivalry to the south with the Flames. I drove up there to see a friend or two and continued heading North. There is BEAUTIFUL north country scenary especially in YellowHead National Park. Gorgeous.

If you’re not into scenary but like the city life, Edmonton is fantastic; it’s organized, clean (for a city) and active. Mind you though, it gets cold. So, what do they do to stay warm and active? They build the worlds largest mall. Genius, I tell you! Innumerable stores, indoor water park and themepark (rollercoaster and all!!), ice rink, theater, and loads of other things. It was a blast for me to go, so much I went twice!
